Airbnb’s 2025 Algorithm Overhaul: What Hosts and Guests Need to Know

  1. Any proof for these claims? Specifically the one about being penalized if you opt out of services or rewarded for a repeat booking?

  2. The algorithm is tuned to American/western hosts – we are in Indonesia (Bali) and many things are not allowed in the in-home services. Also, why change our photos for seasons – WE DON’T HAVE SEASONS !! We are close to the equator so there is no change in temperature all year round….. so, we get penalised for that ?! They say “encourage repeat guests” Everyone knows that repeat guests come direct, not via the platform – it’s naive of ABnB to think otherwise. Since they have abandoned their human interface to AI, AirBnB has gone down the tubes.

  3. As a new host, I’m learning how much reviews, repeat guests, and even updating photos can shape visibility. It’s a lot to take in, but I’m excited to keep growing and adapting with the platform.
